Another of the umpteenth reasons to leave LA, SoCal....

http://www.nbc11.com/news/13340270/detail.html

Whether it happens while you're in the middle of a traffic jam, filling up your gas tank or writing out your monthly mortgage check, who hasn't thought about leaving California for a quieter more affordable place...

That could have been me in that clip but instead of Texas we found our way to North Carolina. Similar story down to the "two for one" special on houses and YES, the price of youghert is half the price in Super Target or Walmart than good old Albertsons or Safeway.
I love Calif. always will, but my goodness even the born and raised people ( like me) are leaving for greener pastures.

I wouldn't call it "greener pastures".?
I would say fire ant ridden, mosquito bitten, green pastures for a couple of months until they turn brown and lay dormant all winter and all the trees are all baron. Pastures with high heat and humidity to boot. Better? I think not. Cheaper? You betcha.

They've been greener for me...even though I am the mosquito equivalent of chocolate cake. Seriously, they love me.

I'll trade my teeny overpriced apartment, in an overcrowded complex with parking issues but no mosquitoes for my lovely tree-lined street and cute house any day of the week, even if it means I have to take the 30 seconds to put on bug repellant. My neighborhood is very green by the way.

Nope, not for us. We did the "greener pastures" gig and now we're headed back to CA.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Any reason one may have is an appropriate reason to leave CA. Implying that there is an appropriate reason for everyone to leave CA is nonsense.

I didn't think anybody implied everybody should leave California, did I miss something? (Because obviously I agree with you -- that would be a silly statement)

I think the OP is implying that "there are so many reasons to leave CA, why would anyone not consider leaving?".
