People need to realize that most people did not get a home or make a loan they could not afford they might have had a good paying job at the time and could afford it, but because of the mass of job loses people could no longer afford to keep their homes, if the mortgage companies and the banks were not so greedy they would work with the people some people may have found another job but it may not pay as much as the job they had before, when I look for jobs I see mostly part-time or temporary, the greedy ones are the corporations, they would rather out source jobs and pay cheap labor rather than pay their citizens here a good wage, what do some people expect people to do sit in their homes and let these greedy mortgage companies kick them out because they can't pay any more?

We need to contact the City-Data administrators to determine if this is the longest one sentence post in the history of the forum. Either that or the comma key and the period key got reversed on the original poster's keyboard.

I remember seeing one that was longer with no caps or punctuations. It really gave me a headache trying to read it. I wouldn't doubt that somewhere in there, the writer wrote about going to college .

sympathy goes to those who honestly did not over purchase but lost their jobs, but I also know, from experience (not mine) the mortgage companies or most of them will work with those who are behind if these buyers have not allowed the mortgange situatiion to get to close to forclosure.

You are wrong about one thing, many people have purchased way over their heads, sending prices too high and creating part of the problem themselves. Being able to qualify is one thing, knowing very well if one can or can not make the payments is another. There is more to the story than one side.

I can't be sure, but I was reading something not too long ago and I thought "HOLY CRAP that is one long sentence!" This one may have topped that one. I'll have to count the words.

And your point was what exactly?

I hope your resume does not look like this.
