Default taxes on gas in ca

in the not so golden state of ca 51.1% per gal of gas is taxes.that incl federal tax.this is the highest in america & gas in ca in the highest as well.i paid $3.34 per gallon today & its expected to increase this weekend due to memorial day.im considering buying a moped.it rarely rains from may-oct in so.ca so i dont have to worry bout slick roads.my 90 t-bird gets 17 mpg city/20 mpg highway with overdrive engaged.
