I really want to move to Cali
Okay, I'm from Canada...I have an accounting degree...I am 25 and single...looking for a place that has nice weather, a decent night life, would like to go to the beach every now and then, fun, relatively affordable.
Any suggestions?

San Francisco, Los Angeles/Orange County, and San Diego fit the bill. Bring your wallet.

What you are looking for is a little vague. Are you looking to settle down and have a family at some point. Do you want to live 10-15 minutes from the beach or 1 to 2 hours. Do you like the heat or prefer milder weather? Do you want to rent or own a home? If you rent are you willing to rent in an older area with fewer amenities? Are you traffic phobic, do you have a car to get around? All of these answers might help others direct you to a certain area. Any coastal areas of California are obviously very expensive, I'm guessing on one income (even a white collar job) you'd be hard pressed to afford a nice apartment on the beach. If you are willing to live further inland you can find more affordable places to live but the traffic is worse.
Typically, northern California is more rural and there are more farms and families. Central California has more land inland but is expensive, there are winerys and such. Southern California is a large area that is hotter than the other 2 areas. Housing prices are hit and miss, but I'm guessing you wouldn't have too hard of a time finding a job. Perhaps try to think long term what you are looking for in an area and that might help you focus your choice.

Suggestion? Yep... take what most say here about California with a grain of salt; pack up your bags and move here and have a great time! Hope everything works out for you here!

I agree with canibeyou. Load up and hit the road and discover California for yourself. You're young enough to do that. It's a big state that is quite diverse in land and culture.
If you're driving from the north (driving from Canada or fly into Portland OR and rent a car) hit HW 1 and drive the entire coast from North to South and see and feel it.
Or since you're young and looking for more nightlife just fly right into S.F. and drive south on coastal 1. You'll go through many different communities and can just enjoy the ride and see where you're inspired to be.

Moving from Cannie?
First off. NEVER refer to California as "Callie". We hate it and only newbies use it. We hate it like people from SF hate being called "Frisco". Do people call Canada, "Cannie"? How ridiculous would that be?
Second, welcome! California is Great. Nice weather and many different kinds of places to live. It's VERY expensive though so be prepared. Check to make sure your talents are needed somewhere and start looking around online. This is a good place to get information and you can look at house prices at Realtor.com and other places. Good Luck!

I agree. Who cares what anyone calls California! I write it out as Cali all the time and I was born and raised there as well. In fact most people post it as Cali. Makes sense.
