Does anyone live near this town? We might be moving back to CA but have been priced out of the house market since moving to Fl three years ago what a mistake. We had lived in CA for 25 years and lived in the bay area. What a mistake we made moving to Florida.

I haven't been to Coarsegold in over 20 years, however I still have a friend that lives near there and she loves it. She grew up, just up the road a bit in Oakhurst. She says it's much better than being down in the city: Fresno.

Be wary if you don't like snow as they can and do get some.

We need to get back to CA and be near our grand kids. Can you suggest any other areas that are affordable? When we first moved to Ca we lived in Pleasanton when it was a small town and that was in 78.We loved it there but we were young and even though at that time the house we bought was $109,000 we didn't care. We care now though since we would like to pay cash for a home even though hubby is still working.

Affordable is typically not a term used in CA housing anymore. I know that the neighborhood I grew up in Fresno now has some homes that are pretty run down, at that they are going for over $200,000!

My sister and her husband just sold their home as they can no longer afford the rising costs so they are moving to TX.

That is the price range we are looking at. We are also moving from FL because everything other then the homes are expensive. Property taxes and homeowners ins are so much higher. Our last house in CA three years ago our ins was $800 a year this home is $2200 a year. Electric is sky high as is our water bill. It is way to hot to keep your windows open like we did in CA so our air is on 24/7 and not low either 78 during the day and 74 at night.

I went into Google and did a search "realty coarsegold, ca" and went into the first link I saw. there was only one 3 bed 2 bath for under $300,000, the others were hovering right under half a million.

Wow I went to realtor.com and saw some in the mid $200 but we are also thinking of NC, Homes are priced right and ins is low. We went to NC several weeks ago on a business trip to Boone in the Blue ridge MTs and it reminded me of CA so we are looking there also but that doesn't get me close to our grand kids. Homes at the base of the mountains is some surrounding towns are going for $140,00 - $!89,oo brand new and on almost an acre and the subdivisions all seem nice.Just another option.

93614 is the zip code for Yosemite Lakes Park. Their are quite a few homes (smaller than 2000 sf) on realtor on around an acre or so in the 200s
