You lost me after your 1st paragraph. It may be too late in the week, could be because it is Friday and I don't have the time to digest all that you are trying to write.

It's not "clone" with an "e", but "clon" (a nickname for the town of Clonakilty, Ireland, where I used to live). I suppose I should change that at some point since so many people seem to misinterpret their spelling error.

You really should try and not get your knickers in a twist over my posts..they are initially directed at the op and you should not feel like you need to defend someone that sounds like a pseudo intellectual, pompous sounding prat. I think you are being uncharacteristically hostile.

It's not about defending anyone but rather it's about my own disgust with the unnecessary belittling of other people who are simply expressing themselves, looking for some help and not intending to provoke.
If you don't understand a post or don't resonate with it or don't care for the expression, then why not let it go?
And whether or not the o.p. is a "pseudo intellectual" or not, why the need to judge and condemn ... and be snide which you often are?
So, you do what you will and if i react, so be it.

At one time I had several suggestions to the OP. However, I died of old age mid posting and hope someone here can assist.

Having said that, I'd suggest Manhattan Beach, Marin County (north of S.F.) or possibly somewhere between S.F. and San Jose. Interesting you don't want back into San Diego.

Well, I didn't interpret the post the same as you did. When a post starts out classifying human beings by who they aren't whilst being hyper judgmental, yet looking for bohemians in the "real" sense..that in itself is ironic. Conservative yet liberal...artistic yet elite, Pacific Heights or Bolinas, traditional values, yet separated from the wife and ready for a romp in the sack.

Someone mentioned Asperger's..I think that' about the size of it unless it's meant to be humorous in it's own right. It's not about not resonating/not resonating it's about bizarre requests and rants.

But you're welcome to read it however you like. Help the poor lad out then, rather than whining to me about about my snide remarks (which I feel is just being authentic and down to earth). Funny that your getting mad at me for "condemning" the guy yet this is what you're doing to me--(i.e. clone) now that's irony!

Default Two Quotes

I wish to express my sincere thanks to those who have responded sincerely.

I have no further comments at this time, save to append the following two quotes. The first, pithy; the second, rather lengthy -- conveying a couple of sentiments and best expressing how I now feel after having read the replies so far. There do seem to be two markedly disparate predilections and tolerances for post length on this forum, so I am hoping that in having one quote to be brief and another to be rather expansive in making its point there will be a little something for everybody to chew on.

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.
--RALPH WALDO EMERSON

It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no 'ordinary' people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations -- these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit -- immortal horrors or everlasting splendours. This does not mean that we are to be perpetually solemn. We must play. But our merriment must be of that kind (and it is, in fact, the merriest kind) which exists between people who have, from the outset, taken each other seriously -- no flippancy, no superiority, no presumption. And our charity must be a real and costly love, with deep feeling for the sins in spite of which we love the sinner -- no mere tolerance or indulgence which parodies love as flippancy parodies merriment.
--C.S. LEWIS

I would say that your skills of perception could use some sharpening.
And yeah, at times i give grief to people who belittle and judge a person who is simply asking for some information / guidance / help / advice.
Simple.
Done.

There! Now you can retire your thesaurus. For future reference, a multisyllabic term for "chew" that's sure to impress the great unwashed is "masticate." After all, you do want to be consistant, don't you?

Coyote belongs to the Rodney King school of, "Can't we all just get along?" liberalism. She reacts violently to aggression on the part of others (that was a joke) And so is Laocoon's posts. There is not a woman in the world with full brain function that would want to spend an evening in his head.
