May be a bit early but there are 8-10 of us guys planning a summer July 4 trip. We are all 24-26. We are looking at Lake Tahoe, Lake Travis, Lake Havasu.

From what Ive read it seems like South Tahoe would be a better spot than North Tahoe for us. I guess what I am asking is what would be the best towns/cities to stay in? How is the nightlife in the are in the summer time as we will be looking to go out and party a bunch?

Thanks for all your help

Stay at South Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side. A bunch of casinos going 24/7 and it's close to the lake.

stay in south lake tahoe. also, it doesn't matter which side of the border you're on as long as you're within a miles of the casinos. i would rent a cabin with that many guys, i was just there for a bachelor party and it was a good time. havasu is also fun, but you really need a boat to fully take advantage of havasu. havasu does have a night club as well and the campgrounds turn into party central after dark. camping can be fun though, but be prepared to wake up at 7 or 8am every morning with intense sunlight and heat.
