Most people who come here, come here because they want a place where it DOESN'T snow!

Charles listed some places. It also snows occasionally in the high desert (victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley), and Wrightwood - which isn't too terribly far from civilization.

Walgreens in Reno, snows sometimes, but just west is Truckee and Tahoe. If you really like snow, live in Soda Springs, just west of Truckee, the heaviest snowed upon inhabited area in the US. Homes have a winter door, located on the second floor.
Raising your child in the mtns= ski teams, nordic and alpine, mountain biking, hiking, horses, kids grow up strong and healthy.

Ibiza ... nice! I'm in the Coachella Valley - it gets pretty hot here too. Summers can sometimes reach temps of 125. Fortunately, we are about 1.5 hours from mountains/snow.
