Default VLF & State tax fees

Last may.09 the legislature raised state tax & vehicle license fees. This is only suppose to be for one yr. The voters last feb voted no to a 2 yr extended tax increase. So as of 5-1-10 the vlf & state tax should go back to the previous fees. My car registration was 55.00 & increased to 67.00. Now it should go back to 55.00. Did anyone who has tags due 5-1-10 or later get a decrease in fees ? The state spent millions of the tax payers dollars to try to get the 2 yr extended taxes increase last yr & failed 2 to 1. I DONT trust the legislature & govenor & im sure they will think of a way to screw us again.

Are you sure the 2 year time limit applied to the VLF? I now it applied to the Sales and Income tax increases, but the change in the VLF may have been permanent.

Im not sure. You may be right though. I cant see the state reducing the VLF. They have made millions with the VLF increase yet the state is in turmoil. Go figure.
