Nobody wants to say it but I could see a massive White Flight from Southern California like those from the cities in 1960's and 1970's. Only this time it will be from the whole state. California is losing it's middle class. Between Illegals, the high cost of living, the ineptness of the folks that run the state you have a perfect storm. With the state massive budget hole more taxes are almost certain despite a very high Sales and income tax already, the unions dominate the state and won't give in so more taxes will be needed. This drives out the middle class. I know White flight has been going on for years but i will believe in the next 10 years it will pickup big time. I also think Blacks and even Asians will leave the state in larger numbers and so will middle class Latinos. I also see a huge increase in crime coming to southern California to in the coming years.

Plenty of people have already said it.

The only "whites" leaving California are too poor to live here. If the thought of "whites" leaving California concerns you than you likely don't belong here in the first place.

It's actually the wealthy that are leaving. Imagine what the state will look like when the only ones left are welfare cases.

But it helps him sleep better at night, believing that only losers leave the state.

That's just silly....AND, they discuss folks moving to states w/o income tax like WA,NV or TX. Like people making 22k are REALLY concerned with finding a way to not pay income taxes? Seriously. You are getting all kinds of credits and rebates, if you make less than 22k, particularly with a family. In any case, you will get most or all of your CA taxes back, I imagine.

Also, this is just stats, people. It really does not say much of anything. It just discusses how much MORE likely people are to leave, based on income. Here's an excerpt.....I guess the bottom line might be that more folks are leaving than staying, within both of these brackets. But honestly, if that is true, it's okay. CA is overpopulated, to be sure. IMHO, of course.(:

The study found that the rich -- those in the top 20 percent of income earners -- leave California at only a slightly higher rate than those who arrive. For those with incomes above $200,0000, the departure rate is only 1.09 households for every household that arrives, the report said.
Meanwhile, 1.73 households with annual incomes of $22,000 or less depart California each year for every out-of-state arrival.

NO, it's not just comparing those who make $200K to those that make $22K. It's also comparing the TOP 20% to the BOTTOM 20%. The Top 20% of Californians are not making $200K or more. Less than 5% of families in CA make that much.

Yeah they are just stats but they are more objective than some of the BS posters on here constantly throw out.
