It's still overpriced and you can't escape the terrible traffic jams and collisions.

Are you kidding me, if you look in Upstate California, yeah you heard right I said Upstate that's the top 1/3 chunk of the state, there is nothing but tiny little cow/mountain towns. How about Weaverville, Burney, Redbluff, Shasta city, Crescent City, or if you want real, real, quite and slow how about Alturas, there's nothing around that town for hours.

You got a point there but I'm sure those prices have gone up and you have to still deal with those stupid gun laws and other laws, rising taxes, and a corrupt government stealing from the people and using "safety" as a cliche.

Stingray, sometimes advanced Lymes disease can be successfully treated with long term massive antibiotics. In advanced stages it causes severe neurological damage, resembling syphilis and parkinson's . The deer ticks causing it can be most threatening when they're nymphs or babies, because they are seemingly more abundant and very difficult to detect. Even adult deer ticks are smaller than the dog ticks most people are familar with. Coastal CA ranges have them worse than the Sierras, but the Sierras can be bad until you go high and dry. In cold winters, ticks don't die off. They go dormant until spring. It's currently believed that the ticks need to feed on you at least 24 hours to transmit Lyme's. But that's not a hard fast rule.

I guess that's why they say to wear long sleeved clothing when going through brushy areas but I can't tolerate the heat if its hot or bright sun. These ticks when you are bitten by one does it embed itself into your skin?

A crock.. Nobody pays any attention to the gun laws, taxes in CA are a whole 3 or 4% higher than the socalled low tax states, and the government is no more corrupt than anywhere else. One thing North Californians don't like are whiners.
