Default Need help with Comm Project mind helping me?

I read your post and I am interested to know about your experiences with racial tensions at Highland High School. I am currently working on a project for Communcations 103 which is about racial tensions in schools. Would you mind sharing with me your personal experience about this topic? Thanks.

Smile Hay Fever CB & E.A.F.B.

I was born in Quartz Hill in 53, my dad own Lancaster Transmission. My kids were born in Lancaster in 84 & 87. We lived in east Palmdale. I owned real estate all over A.V.
I own my own business in A.V as well as being an engineer for CSC @ E.A.F.B . After the Rodny King riots and the damage being done in my neighborhood, I liquidated everything and got my family out of there. The district attorney and judges were scared to death of blacks!
I have been living on 5 ac in the forest of Oregon away from the centers of population.
It is unbearably hot at Edwards, but the work was fun. I loved working around cutting edge technology and I miss the co-workers. I miss all the things I had on my job. I'd like to be working there now.
Now, I can't remember the many friends I used to have. I graduated from A.V. in 71 but should have graduated from Q.H. Those are the kids I remember best.
You will remember me as the sexy 20 year old owner of Hayfever CB @ 20th & Ave. J.

Default lancaster really isnt that bad

i have lived here for about 20 years and yes it has gotten bad but so has the whole world.... i am not scared to walk down my street, yes there are bad neighborhoods bad people but thats life. and yes i am personally upset about the clean up la act that the old mayor started a few years back and r rex paris is trying to fix and get rid of. i do believe that is where a lot of crime arose from. because you can take the people out of the ghetto but not the ghetto out of the people and thats sad but true. so having 100s of houses built for section 8 is NOT a good idea, but its said and done now. there are parts of palmdale and lancaster that are "bad" but not all of lancaster is "bad" and there isnt just one race that makes crime look at the statistics. i honestly think lancaster has its good points, we are close to everything, we have a lot more shopping and FOOD place EVERYWHERE (a little too many but what can you do) our new mayor is trying to get the city invovled in things and get more bands and people to come to our fair and the lpac. i think that lancaster has potential to be a good place to live and it will get better. i know i probably sound naive but i have faith in people. and i am very sad to read all the racist remarks thats why the world is the way it is.. so much HATE!!

Just a side note on this racism thing. While I agree that racism just sucks, is it racism when you see the guy being arrested on television? Is it racism when you drive along and see the guy (in cuffs) laying on the sidewalk while police check the stolen vehicle? Is it racism when you open your paper everyday and there are photos of 4 males just arrested for raping some teen girl?

I live near Fresno and the Bulldog gang members (all Mexican) are what they are. You can't help but hate when you're inundated with the same a**holes in the media everyday. Unless your head is in the sand, it permeates. Don't call that racism. These punks, black, white, brown, whatever, leave innocent people a bad taste in their mouths. They destroy communities because they're low lifes. If they had something going for them, there wouldn't be a need to destroy or take what others have earned. Just so happens the examples given in Palmdale/Lancaster were black.
