Went to DMV this morning, got there about 9:30 for my 10:00 appointment, while waiting in line I studied the Driver Handbook, took the written exam and passed with 100%, got my pic taken, and I was outta there by 10:20. Overall, I'd say it went pretty well. There were a lot of people there though, so you gotta have an appointment!

Why did you take a written exam when you already have a ca dl ? The last time i took the written exam was when i first got my ca license @ age 17.

I think after so many years you have to take a written and get a new pic. I've had to do this a few times, but then ... I think I'm older than you.

I have to do that next year..I'll finally get a DL that DOESN'T have a red and blue line with "turns 18 in...." and "turns 21 in..." on the bottom of it. WHOO!

Maybe my new DL will have a line through it that says "turns 100 in ...".

So you'll be the average age in the Coachella Valley?

Man, I'm going to miss having those lines. I feel old But at least I get a new picture where I DON'T look like an absolute thug

See, the DMV isn't all so bad. Like I said, I always thought they were pretty efficient for what they needed to do!
