I just purchased a 1979 Airstream 29' Land Yacht. I think I got a decent deal as it needs some help. My goal is to transport it out to NM where it will serve as a cabin, until hopefully, we can build a small home. Any thoughts on semi-permanently setting this up. My first thought is to jack it up and set it on large beams (possibly R.R. Ties) tied to blocks filled with concrete. I'd then construct a deck around it and skirt the deck. The interior won't be restored to original. I'm thinking of tearing out the area that currently serves a a dinette/bed turning it into a living room/bedroom with a small love seat size sleeper. The dinette will go where another bed was and I'll just get a small dinette set. Thanks.

Build a pole barn and park it inside, (or under a lean-to' shed attached) build an apartment in the barn too with laundry, shower, stove.
you will have saved yourself a lot of work,
Have a place to store and acquire supplies
Have an indoor work area
a safe place to store tools
a 'retreat / shelter' from the sun or weather
added value to your site
have a potential 'small house' inside pole barn. (a low tax solution with ZERO maint)
I'd avoid the railroad ties, as they attract bugs and campers are a smorgasbord for critters. I'd just support the corners with jack stands (or blocks) and leave it at that. Just park it away from falling branches as the Airstreams will show dents. Any unusual interior conversions will kill the resale value, and an Airstream is a popular item with the retro crowd in original condition. If you're going to sink some money in it, restore it to camping condition, then enjoy it after the house is built, or sell it for top money. Good luck!
