Through several changes in plans I'm probably going to be 'taking off' from January to June, and then from Aug to Dec.
All I'll need is an internet connection ~2x a week.
(Grad School online, no point in sitting in an apartment for months)
I've got a V6 Toyota 4 runner and a just under 500 pound bike, so I want a 2,500 pound or less Trailer to give me over 500 pounds of 'stuff/leeway' before hitting the 3,500 pound mark.
Also want to keep under $10K (used)
From a quick scan of Cragslist this seems not to be a problem but I thought I might get some recommendations.
I'm used to living out of a Seabag, I've lived off a Motorcycle for over 6 weeks etc. Space on a 20 foot or less trailer won't be much of an issue.
(Even with 6 of that being bike)
I know that Disabled Vets get free or almost free parking at National parks, my plan is to go to one, use the truck and bike to explore the area, after a month or so move on.
Been over most of the US, plan on heading north as it gets warmer and south as it gets cooler.
I'll be starting in Key West (Without the toy hauler) in January... and when I'm tired of there I'll pick it up and go....?
Got buddies in Az and a Marine Buddy in San Fran... Probably take my bike up Highway one, work up to Washington State (Been to the other 47)
Use one of those $60 per month wireless cards...
Any constructive thoughts are welcome. (Not just trailer recommendations)
My Grandparents were Airstream snowbirds and I've traveled with them for months.
