My next camper is going to be a little Six-Wide Teardrop. What is the best modification you've done to your teardrop campers?

Figured I can dream and learn at the same time...

Stories? What's yours?

Does that have a dual axle option?

One axle. The mfg I've looked at is the Little Guy Teardrop that weighs about 1,000 lbs....that is correct.

(they do make an off road version, if anyone is interested)

I'm building one (slide in teardrop for my Snowbear Utility trailer)

I am into the 50 MPG motorhome plan. It will go behind my 97 Passat TDI Wagon that is getting equipped with a Motoraide HW heater, ref, and outdoor shower.

My 'other motorhome' only gets 18 - 22 mpg (Rialta).

I have gone to some Teardrop conventions, and there are many nice units around and available for purchase. They can soak up a few WINTERS to fabricate. I'm just gonna use a fiberglass topper that will hinge or telescope up, and velcro walls. Slide in 'component' campgear, as I also do offroad / van / station wagon / car / RV / motorcycle camping.

Teardrops are a good idea.

Oh, we would like to see pics, if you care to share along the way. Sounds like a great plan, StealthRabbit!

will be hybrid between this:
teardrop campers - Google Search

and
Pop-up Tent Trailers | family camping
(yellow one)

You have to realize I'm a 'reformed' westy camper, and just trying to enjoy a 50 mpg RV that burns WVO and has a shower, so... the options are a bit limited. (Light and LOW) and STEALTH of course http://www.google.com/imgres?q=teard...:31,s:300,i:97

If I were to buy a teardrop camper outright from a manufacturer, what are the good brands to look for?
