I was thinking about getting a 12V hdtv for my stealth RV, but an HDTVusb tuner with my laptop would work. But check this website out for 12V HDTV's!

Does it run from 12V batteries direct?

Yup, has a 12 VDC input, (from 120vac power supply) and I just happen to have a few 'house' batteries in my RV.

1) go to a store
2) look for tv with a 12vDC power supply
3) buy it
4) use a 'pigtail' from 12vDC accessory kit (usualy has 4 different sizes connectors)
5) Make a custom rack to swing out from the wall in your RV.

If I get a 12 V HDTV I'd get this one, as it doubles as a PC monitor and it's 24" big!

For the price of some of the larger sized TV's it would be much cheaper to get a AC TV and just by a pocket converter for $20.

I think it's totally silly and a rip-off to charge so much for DC electronics. All electronics are made to operate on DC. The conversion to DC to AC is internal so that the electronic can take AC. It makes no sense to me for the excessive cost.

Hey Jesse,
I came across your forum a few days ago and pickedup the same TV. Thanks bud, great buy! Fits perfectly and plugs right in. It uses a lot less power than the old one did and it has the dvd player. The TV is loud and the kids are quiet. Perfect!!!
