I had lots of towing experance towing around a 2 horse trailer ALL over WV mountains. Nope Never towed a camper. The truck I had for my Horse Trailer was a double cab Camper Special Chevy. Almost twice as long as the horse trailer.
I really need to get it checked out to see what this Towing Package is the previous owner keeps telling me about.

We had a 1986 B250 with a 318 engine and the towing package. Used to tow a boat around So CA and AZ. If the road was level not much of a problem once you got it moving, but if you had to start on a upgrade or was going up a hill or mountain road it was such a freaking dog.

No problems now, gotta big block Jimmy.

That's good. However, part of my concern was because you keep mentioning your mobility scooter in your threads. And when I think of people that use a mobility scooter to get around, it's because they have some health or physical issue that limit them walking about on their own two feet...

Yes I do have medical problems....Bad arthtis in my back knees & hips. But I dont see that as a problem unless the campgrounds have a thing against the handicap.

wm.lewis, unless this thread suddenly springs to life again in the next day or two, I would recommend beginning a new one with your question. There's enough difference to warrant such a move. You may want to include a brief description of how far and how often you will be towing such a trailer. Can make a difference in what is recommended to tow it with.
