A cell phone charger , lots of reading material /cd's/dvd's/tapes in case it rains alot on your journey, bug spray, charcoal lighter and matches for the evening fires, and some sort of protection just in case (gun, long sharp knife, sickle, pepper gas, club) . RVing is a relatively safe hobby, but, many think RVers have money to burn when they see a nice shiney Rig .

Hello Everyone! I think that if you have an RV and a computer or some sort of mobile device that has internet you should definitely have CampingRoadTrip.com save as a bookmark. We actually just took a trip to Misouri and stayed at Bass River Resort. It was great! My wife and I decided that wanted to take a few days off and hit the road. We drove around and went to CampingRoadTrip.com to find a local campground! It finds campgrounds within 25 miles of your exact location. I've decided that I'll definitely use it from now on for road trips and camping trips.

I'd make sure to bring a fan in case the A/C konks out, a small cube heater, an extra heavy blanket for each bed and for naps, sweatshirt cause it gets cold almost everywhere, raingear, a portable radio preferrably with weather band and extra batteries, also good flashlight with siren button, lightweight portable chairs that recline, plastic table cloth, a couple of books, and bicycles with a basket.

I second the dedicated gloves for potty draining duty along with a bottle of hand sanitizer. A small portable tv with dvd capability has come in handy more than once. I also carry a rechargeable electric bug zapper.

This is true in some small way, but so does asking folks and its a great way to meet new people in your travels. But there has been times when we'll be walking by a camp site and the kids are on one playing thier video games, HOW SAD . Give me my wife, bikes, canoe, fishing rods and the water to stand in and a nice camp fire at the end of the day and the day was well spent (together) .

Get a 50amp - 30 amp "dog bone" adapter. Mine has come in pretty handy on more than one instance.
