Some Camping tips:
Use foam floor tiles for a softer, more comfortable tent floor.
Make tin-can sandwich bread as a portable food option
Study about all the plant ... Some plant turn out to be poisonous
Apply some mosquito repellent as they all resides in forest and may make you bleed .

This was at Jordan Lake in NC this summer, in the group tent sites at Vista Point. We are going back again next weekend!

This was not our tent - it was borrowed from a friend to see if we liked it or not because we were considering an even swap with him. We're not going to swap though.

Nice. You people keep pulling me back here to remember what I left behind. Sigh If I sound green with envy, it's because I am.

Here's my new 10X15 with an A/C port. Testing in the back yard here. Took it to Edisto State Park in late June with 90+ temps and stayed nice and cool.

Did quite a bit of camping over the fall and winter.

Slept in my old North Face Arrowhead 4 season tent along the Continental Divide Trail in February. Did some snowshoeing.

Did a lot of hunting with my dogs. My truck camper is their #1 favorite kennel.

Default Me and the 'Boys' go camping pt.1

So Me and the boys went on an adventure for the past few days. Here are 'the boys'-

The big boy is my German shorthair pointer Schnitzel. The little guy is a 6 month GSP owned by a friend of mine who is on vacation. I'm dog sitting for a week or so. The little boy is Dexter, and he is from a litter of mine and Schnitzel is his dad!

Schnitzel was in training camp for 2 months. A friend of mine trains upland dogs, so he had him since early May. I picked him up on Thursday along with Dexter and decided to spend some time with them. So I loaded them up in the truck and headed towards Lewistown, MT where my son is finishing up a week at Boy Scout camp. We decided to go to Ackley Reservoir and do some swimming, then go to town of Kendall- A ghost town near the Boy Scout camp. Gotta have a spooky adventurous thing to do when you are with the 'guys'!

Here's the little 6 month old on his first swim-

He saw his daddy do it and he had to try it too! First swim and he grabbed a bumper bigger than his head! Good boy!

After swimming and chasing bumpers in the water we headed to Kendall

This is not a spot for towable RV's, but my truck camper did just fine. We found a nice level spot above the town and set up camp for the night.

We took a little nap in the high noon sun then set out later in the afternoon to explore the town.

We saw a lot of cool things. The old bank-

Here's what's left-

The big thing in the middle is the old safe. Kinda cool!
