I recently purchased a RAGE'N toy hauler. The entire back end lowers to form a ramp rated for 2,300 pounds. I raised it myself three times and decided that was just too dangerous to make a regular habit.

I got an ATV winch rated at 2,000 pounds and installed two 3/8 inch eye bolts, one on each side about a foot down from the top and connected chains. I put a one inch piece of conduit at the center point of the chain to support the ramp when it gets down to the horizontal position. This works very well.

We love the trailer. It has a good furnace which is important in Maine, a good air conditioner, an aux fuel tank we can use to fill ATVs or the truck itself and the trailer is well made. I did some research on the brand. RAGE'N was bought out by National.

Is there a commercial lift assist available that actually works?
