I'm thinking about renting a RV to relocate from Phoenix Az. to Birmingham, AL. I'd like to get any feed back on what would be the best way to do this
( who to rent from & how ). Has anybody ever done this before? The main reason is we have 2 dogs ( german Shorhair pointers ) and Flying is out of the question. HELP, Woodzman

I would think that most rental companies would want the unit returned to them. However there are other national chains like and U-haul is one of them - that may not have problems with one-way rentals.

Hi, I just joined looking for places that I can park my RV long term. Hopefully I can find information looking through these boards.
I did rent a one way from a company called USA RV Rentals and I think their website is If I am wrong just google them. They waived my one way fee from LA to New York when I went 3 years ago.

We owned a 30' travel trailer and I lived in it for 30 & 60 day periods in the new town while I worked and we house hunted. I just found a campground with monthly site fees and it worked out great! I wasn't the only doing it either. There were full time residents and other workers like myself. I would then travel home on weekends to be with the family and work on maintaining / packing at the old house. Sure made the relo's alot easier.
