Went up to a little place called Cedar Creek two days before it was snowing, caught a break and got 5 days of good weather, well it did rain on the first night but that was okay, the fishing was very poor but it was one of the most relaxing trips I've had in a few years.
I'd post a few pictures but having some problems downloading the camera.

Loved it !!!

Not too many people playing (Corn hole), only if they really knew what that term meant, LOL!!!
But, what is it with these parents that see the need to bring all of their kids power wheels toys with them? They ride those noisy things up and down the pavement all day long and those hollow plastic wheels are loud on it.
I have to give the Park Rangers a big (Thumbs-up) Every Time you turned around they were stopping some idiot for driving over the 10 MPH speed limit in the camping zones. Some fools just don't give it a thought that there are children out there playing and kids don't always look before they dart. We need to do the looking out for them

It looks like our first trip will be when we take the trailer to the lake and leave it for the month of July. I'm felling a little stronger every day but still have a ways to go. I want to be off the pain pills before we go for sure. Trying to keep a stiff upper lip about not being able to play on the jet ski or kayak this summer. At least it's still camping!!!!

Roaddog,
If you don't mind my asking, which Cedar Creek did you get to? There is one near Lockwood Valley in northern Ventura County. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was another in the southern Sierra, too. Since the Ventura County location appears to still be closed for "winter," I'd guess you went to another Cedar Creek.

Edit: I searched around and found a Cedar Creek campground in the Greenhorn Mountains. I'd guess that's the one you went to. If you ever get those pictures downloaded, I'd love to see them. This may be a place I'd be interested in camping in the future. I'd also love to hear more about it.

I got to set up camp today, but only for a short time. The setup was part of a promotion of our Church's Men's camp, which will be in a couple weeks. I pitched my tent, and set up my camp stove and table before church, then proceeded to cook bacon and eggs for a large group of people. After church, I packed it all up and took it back home. It felt a little like camping, but not enough. I am looking forward to our trip for the Men's group.

Kinda new to this forum. It's funny it saw this, my neighbors daughters camps at Bark Camp. She loves it. Never been there, heard it's nice.
We usually camp at what I call Ohio Power, but is now called AEP Recreation Land.
