Press releases tell us that camping trailers were first introduced 100 years ago today. They actually predate the Model T. A few years ago I saw a 1950 DeSoto pulling an original teardrop camper in British Colombia. Now we have a Rage'n toy hauler with all the bells, whistles and the widest wide hallway I have ever seen in a trailer. Wife needs it because she is in a wheel chair now. There is plenty of room for her chair.

There are a lot of rigs on the road today that put the house I grew up in to shame for amenities........very sweet units, but the "camping" aspect has taken a hit in the last couple of years.
