Here i am again! lots of question before the big moving to Vancouver.
Our house is on the market here in Colorado and we would like to use the money as a down payment for a house in Vancouver (or nearby cheaper places ).
I know that at the custom I will have to declare if I have with me more than 10k$. I can transfer the money with a wire from the US bank (and i will be charged 15 US $ no matter the amount I transfer)
Will I have to pay extra taxes on this money?
Thanks

No. All you do with the declaration is tell them you have it. They don't care, they just want to know. There is no tax on cash.
