Then I'll send you a picture next January
I actually spent my last two years in upstate NY (after moving from FL), and I enjoyed the snow over there. It was a welcomed change from the muggy, humid, love bug infested summers in northern FL.
These past few days I went through the "heat wave" (as they called it) and the humidity in Toronto doing the usual: walking everywhere, enjoying the outdoors, visiting parks and neighbourhoods. I just walked in the shade whenever possible, and drank extra water to keep hydrated. But other than that, if people and the media would not have made such a big issue of the "heat wave", I wouldn't have known there was one.
So, to paraphrase Cornerguy1: " I'd love to see a Torontonian's face
on the first really hot June morning in Florida"
When you open the door to go outside, and the hot hair slaps you on the face, and you breathe in, and your nostrils burn from that hot air, then you know you are in hot Florida weather.
When you walk to your car, and you feel something on the tip of your fingers, and when you look down, you realize it's sweat coming from your armpits, running down your arms, and dripping off your fingertips, then you know you are in hot Florida weather.
