More contempt of Parlament anyone? Even if I were a conservative, how could I vote for this party that so abuses the trust of the Canadian people? This is a party that was elected on the promise of transparentcy and openness with the people of Canada. They have been anything but. Everything from the cost of unnecessary Fighter jets to the building of more jails has been either misrepresented or just plain lied about.

They just don't seem to get it. Being in contempt of our parlament is just another day at the office for these people. They are above the law that applies to the rest of us. Just the fact that they don't seem to care about being in contempt is all the more contemptable to me and I hope millions of other voters.

It's a minority government so it's hard to do anything. "if" he had the majority things would be different - Maybe bad , maybe good - but the only way to see is to have a majority.

You have to be kidding me!!!! If the government is corrupt now it will be corrupt squared if it ever had a majority. I think we could kiss the Canada we know goodbye and become the nasty place the USA is.

If you think that the Liberals or NDP are any better, you must have a hard time seeing our of your navel.

At least they're buying aircraft that we need. The Liberals paid half a billion dollars to not build helicopters that were needed, only to turn around and spend $1.3 Billion more than what they cost before they were cancelled to order them again.

agreed finally we need to replace those old sea king helicopters that are part of our coast guard that are so old that it is a 50/50 risk it migh go down if resuced and the 65 f-35 is a start but another 40 gen 4.5 f-15 silent eagles and 4.75 F-18 super hornets is what we could use to protect the arctic russian from sukhoi T-50's. we need air-air combat fighters like the f-15 not the F-35 heck the french rafale F3 is perfect for our needs

You know what? Canada needs to fix it's navy to protect our sovereignity of the north. We DO NOT NEED stealth fighters.

I find it very interesting that every time someone mentions the dishonesty and corruption of this government the first response is , I know you are but what am I? You remember that ditty from grade two? That's just what it is, a grade two defence of wrongdoing. The last defence of a scoundrel is always, blame the other guy, take no responsibility of my own wrongdoing.

we yes we need air-air combat fighters the F-15 silet eagle is the best thing IMO ythat can protect our air space also a few extra air-air refuel tankers and and some MQ9 predator drones for The MQ-9 Reaper is a medium-to-high altitude, long endurance remotely piloted aircraft system. The MQ-9's primary mission is as a persistent hunter-killer against emerging targets in support of joint force commander objectives. The MQ-9's secondary mission is to act as an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance asset, employing sensors to provide real-time data to commanders and intelligence specialists at all levels. we need better nava lships atleast a few ice breakers to get into some of the harder to [atrol regions to protect our northren arctic borders

I agree about the navy, but I also agree we need to replace the aging CF-18's. It's not a stealth fighter, it's a next-gen aircraft. They're all that way. We don't need an F-117, we need the next replacement for the CF-18. A multi-role 21st century aircraft. For the record, it was the Liberals when in power that made the decision to help fund the development of the F-35, and now that it's done, it only makes sense to capitalize on the investment.

As far as the second grade response, I'm not defending anybody. Politician = crook/liar. I said you were naive if you thought it was just the Tories that are crooks.

Take it from me, someone who left the U.S.... Harper shows all the signs of Bush & co... a flagrant disregard for the laws and norms of society and a feeling of entitlement... this combined with an allegiance to big business and multinationals = a situation ripe for abuse. I hope Canadians have the sense to vote liberal this election.
