Now that the $CAN is stronger, do you shop more in the US?
I recently went up to Vancouver (from Oregon in the US) to visit some friends. Before I came, they asked me to buy some clothes and other consumer items for them in the US, for which they'd reimburse me. They said that with the stronger Canadian dollar, prices in the US were becoming a lot more attractive, and that Canadian shoppers are helping fuel a retail boom in northern Washington. Bellingham and Seattle are popular destinations for shoppers. Nordstrom's flaship store in downtown Seattle, for example, is doing good business selling to Canadian customers.
Has the rising value of the Canadian dollar led to you shop across the border?
