I live in a place called Birch Bay which is a town just north of the City of Bellingham, and close to the White Rock / Surrey, BC Peace Arch border. We sometimes have picnics at the Peace Arch Park, or enjoy the White Rock seaboard or the stores in Blaine.

Well, I met her through a common friend of ours, at one of his parties. And we hit it off from there!

PS - Birch Bay is a pretty area. I like Birch Bay state park and the beach there, I love those cute little black and white seabirds that run up and down the beach digging for goodies at the shoreline. I don't know what they are but they make funny little peeping noises. I've never seen them anywhere else along the coast except at Birch Bay.

LOL. I hate Valentine's Day. Every year I insist on nothing for this contrived Hallmark holiday and every year I get chocolates and jewellery and a mushy card. What's a girl to do?

Something amazing happened on our way to the Olive Garden on Sunday. We were already on the bridge with no way to turn around when we realized my 93 year old father in law did not have his passport with him. Now, there is no way you can get into the USA without one, right? Well, I was just blown away when the border guard let him in. I'm thinking that guard probably does not even have the authority to do that!!!!!
