I'll take any bets that the gateway pipe line will NEVER be built. There is just tooo much opposition and the feds can not build it over the objections of BC. There is almost nothing in it for VC but a lot of risk so why would they allow it. I think the answer is, they won't.

On top of the opposition of the province of BC there are 50 some first nations that have to agree to it crossing their lands. We have been unable to reach an agreement with 50 first nation bands in history, what makes anyone think thy will succeed with that now???

Desperate times (will) call for desperate measures. If China eventually realizes that they really want Canada's oil and the US will still be a no-go, then I think they will find a way how to pull it off.

But I don't think, it will be a nice way...
