My girlfriend will soon graduate from OISE (UofT) in Toronto with a B.Ed in Secondary Education with teachables/concentrations in English, and History, unfortunately, jobs in Ontario are slim-to-none. I was wondering if anyone knows of any part of the country which is somewhat urbanized (ie. not Nunavut, NWT, Yukon, or Northern province X, Y, or Z) where jobs can be found. I don't expect there to be anywhere where teachers in humanities are in demand, but if there's at least no a massive over-supply like in Ontario it would be amazing. If she can't find work I believe she intends to pursue a Master's of Teaching, or an M.Ed to help herself out.
