Comparing to Western Union you at least get a truer exchange rate. Western Union makes some decent money on top of the fees on what rates they use for the currency exchange.

You can use PayPal all you need is an e-mail address or cell phone number. Both the sender and receiver needs to have an account. To build an account you can Have it linked to your checking account or credit card. There is a Conversion difference Lets say the US Dollar and Canadian Dollar. There's a difference in how much both is worth at a certain time or day. For instance when I sent money there was a 41 cent exchange rate. To send $100.00 us/can I have to pay 100.00 plus the 41 cents so the receiver would receive 100.00 Canadian Money.

also keep in mind paypal can take up to 5 days to actually allow you to HAVE your money if its a time sensitive transfer
