I'm moving to Dartmouth to attend the NSCC Waterfront campus in Sept. I'm looking for a place that has low crime rate; where don't have to worry if you'll be kill if you step out side.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I don't know Dartmouth really well, but the areas around Highfield park seem to be a bit rougher. It generally feels like a safer city than Halifax though. I have always liked the areas around the lakes, particularly Waverley road as you head out of town.

I prefer Halifax though. If I was going to NSCC, I would live in Halifax and take the ferry to class.

Dartmouth is safe, if u live in Halifax avoid the North End. Bedford has bad reputation too.
Try to live close to the campus or at least near a bus route.. Check it out:

Apartments for rent in Halifax. Halifax nova scotia Condos, lofts, furnished, unfurnished rentals on Kijiji. Free Classifieds.

The address of your campus is 80 Mawiomi Place Dartmouth, you can use google maps to see how far the apartment is from the campus.

Good Luck!

Unless the shore drive gangs are coming after you with their polo mallets,i think you will be okay in Bedford.

Bedford may be a bit boring and the people are a little pretentious, but you would have to look to find trouble....
