Hi, I'm from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and I was wondering if anyone here has any advice on fun things to do in nearby Northern Ontario. Obviously growing up here I've been to Sault Ontario plenty of times, though I haven't really checked out much else in Canada. I have been to Science North in Sudbury, which was pretty fun.
Anything else like that in Northern Ontario that I might not have heard of? I'd be especially interested in any zoos, good museums, natural wonders like waterfalls and such.

We used to spend our summers up that way, Killarney area, when I was a kid, so that is why I opened your thread and decided to have a look myself what was around there.
What about these:
Agawa Canyon Tour Trains - Algoma Central Railway
Guided Sea Kayak and Canoe tours, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Saguenay Marine Park. Kayak sales, rentals, instruction

Check out Manitoulin island. I think it's a few hours drive south once you're on the Ontario side. You'll find a lot of things to do there. Cup and Saucer trail is a must, South Baymouth and onwards to Tobermory have awesome beaches. Providence Bay is also very nice...just a few things that came to mind immediately.

Oh yeah. You should also look in to the Haweater Festival on the island, too. I think it happens every summer and looks like a good time. I live in Sudbury, and tons of people drive down there just to spend the weekend for Haweater. Whoever mentioned the Pow wows...that sounds good too.
