I thought a lot of bananas in Canada may come from Cuba. I was wondering if they were better than the ones Americans eat that come from Central America.
Not that I have noticed. It seems the bananas I buy are usually from Central America.
There might be some produce from Cuba in our grocery stores but it is far from predominant. I have never even noticed any.
Most stuff is from central America (bananas), California (all sorts), Florida (oranges), Washington (apples) and even south American countries like Peru and Chile.
They're fine cigars, but I can get them for a few bucks at the corner store and I don't see that they're significantly better than other cigars. TBH, though, you likely know better than I. I don't smoke cigars very often at all so I'm no connoiseur, I probably wouldn't be able to tell a great cigar if I got ahold of one. i just know I couldn't really see what was so great about the Cuban I smoked compared to others.

"A few bucks"? I thought Cuban cigars cost "mucho dinero", things enjoyed by the "one percent"!
Hubby smokes Cuban cigars and they're not that cheap. I think to cigar smokers, the cigars one gets at the corner store don't qualify as proper cigars.
Yeah, for cigar smokers there is a clear difference in taste between cheap cigars and the real ones from La Havana.
