There is also John McGale that you can Youtube. He was the guitarist for the legendary Quebec rock band Offenbach, who only did songs in French.
McGale was actually an anglo from North Bay, Ontario and didn't speak any French when he moved to Montreal to join the band. He was convinced to go by his Franco-Ontarian friend Breen LeBoeuf, also from North Bay, who hooked up with the band and became one of its leading figures.
It must have been an interesting discussion between Breen and John in North Bay: "WTF?!? You want me to move to Montreal to play in a rock band that sings in FRENCH?!?"
Not a guitar great, but another interesting and similar story. Nanette Workman was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. She became a huge star in Quebec and "part of the gang". Her main claim to fame in the anglo world is backup vocals on a few of the Rolling Stones' hits.

She may be Mississippi's most valuable "export" to Quebec!
Red Shea - Gordon Lightfoot's first lead guitarist ~'65-75. Then replaced by Terry Clements, but he was American I think.
It's a treat to watch videos of Red Shea playing alongside Lightfoot. Amazing Canadian talents who played together so seamlessly, it sounded like one guitar - Lightfoot+Shea.
