I recently went to DC and a month after coming back to canada, I got a $125 ticket for driving at 47 mph in a 35 zone. Does anyone know what the consequence of not paying the ticket? I don't think I will drive my car in DC for a few years. Just concerned if there will be trouble entering US.
If the two (State/Province) have a cross border policy of being responsible for each others tickets and its highly likely they do you'll notice they'll charge you when you go to renew your drivers license and it will be a lot more than $125. my advice pay the ticket now and be done with it..
Just a guess I dont think you'd have any problem crossing the border with a pending unpaid ticket..
If you don't pay it then they'll issue a warrant for your arrest, most likely.
This is absolutely true.
