Only one I'm familiar with is Gordon Lightfoot.
He wrote his best songs in the 1960's and 1970's.
Best known song is probably, "If You Could Read My Mind" (1970)
His song, "Sundown" topped US billboard charts in 1974.
Fantastic songwriter too.
He wrote the great "Early Morning Rain" circa 1965, even Elvis covered it.

Gino Vannelli and Gordon Lightfoot.

I remember Buffy Saint Marie when she was on Sesame Street back in the 1970s. I didn't know she wrote "Up Where We Belong"!
