Hi Friends:

I write from Jamaica. I am hoping to get to Canada under the highly skilled migrant worker programme. I would prefer to live in a state where both English and French are spoken and rich with other nationals. My problem however if finding a job before heading out of Jamaica.
I am looking for something in environment and sustainable development, marketing or strategic planning. Any tips?

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Steppin

Canada does not have states. It has provinces.

Perhaps you ought to do a little more research on Canada.

You could try the big multi National companies that have bases in your area and Canada, think companies like Shell,Exxon,BP.Air Canada.

For live in Caregiver , there are some jobs but i doubt they carry enough weight to help in an immigration capacity. You might have better luck as a full fledged nurse.

Good luck to you...there are many, many "highly skilled" workers in Canada already who can't find work.
The only one who wants migrant workers are the Gov, so they can pay them less. It should be illegal...nothing personal.
