Question Canadian moving to US still wanting to keep job in Canada

Hi Everyone

I live in a border city and work in Ontario Canada. I am planning on marrying my fiancee and moving across the border living with him there but I still wish to keep my job here commuting daily. I have 9 years left till retirement.

Does anyone know if this is possible? We are planning to begin the process but I don't want to move there if I can't keep my job here in Ontario Canada.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a hint: You might want to seriously consider getting married in Ontario rather than in the US to avoid the aggravation of applying for a US K1 Fiancee visa.

GREAT ADVICE! And legally, it's the same thing.

Hello Carolgl,

You may want to investigate both Canadian and U.S. tax implications since you will be the spouse of a U.S. citizen and living in the U.S. but working in Canada. The U.S. web site is Internal Revenue Service.
