How many weeks do you get off from work every year, whether paid or unpaid?
Also what is your job?
In Europe, it is typically between 4 - 6 weeks off while in the U.S. anywhere between 2 - 4 weeks (Very few less than 2 weeks or more than 4 weeks, there's no law)

I am entitled to four but every year I have two or three extra weeks kicking around that I carried over from when I didn't have kids yet so I tend to lose track...
I believe the legal minimum for full-time workers in Canada is two weeks.
Very generally speaking most companies will start you off at a minimum of 2 weeks and raise it a week every 5 years, along with that comes 2% of yearly earned income (called vacation pay) for every week of vacation
I have a project based job (and a farm, which functions somewhat similarly), so I have no set amount of holidays. I can take holidays when I don't have work to do.
I'm took early retirement, but when I left I had 6 weeks vacation, plus 3 paid days off ( it was 12 at one time ).
The pattern was 2 weeks after one year ( by law ) 3 weeks after 5 years ( by law ). 4 weeks after 10 years ( company given)
5 weeks after 15 years ( company given ) and 6 weeks after 25 years ( company given ).
I believe 2 weeks after the first year is standard across the country, with Quebec giving one day per month of consecutive employment if you are under a year.
B.C.'s laws.
