LOL. Always fresh, my foot. Parbaked pastries and coffee that can sit around for a long time when the outlet isn't busy doesn't qualify as fresh to me.
I'd say that it used to be passable. Now it's just kind of bad. Tim Horton's is wildly overrated.

Basically both places are a convenient stop for coffee or a snack 24/7 they arent pretending to be 5 star eating establishments, for those that dont like products from either just go wherever it is you like to go for coffee. IMO Tims is a Canadian success story while DD seems to be on the decline.

People who are easily persuaded by marketers exist on both sides of the border. The chains that you listed are as run-of-the-mill and overrated as just about any other chain out there. Virtually all chains cater to the lowest common denominator.
