Recently...the International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) held their annual awards ceremony in Athens, Greece where there were four finalists.

Congratulations Canada!

The Bank of Canada with their new polymer series of banknotes (the sample posted is a very good looking example of currency, btw) was recently awarded the winner!

Even the previous paper stuff stcuk together when first issued; ya gotta wrinkle them a bit.

I alternate the dang things with older paper notes in my wallet so I don't inadvertantly hand over two or more of them when a single would do.

On the note from Jersey the Queen looks like a troll.

It looks like they compressed the picture, or something. I'm glad that one didn't win.

The English notes seem to use a much more dated portrait of Lizzy than the Jersey and Canadian notes...
