I wouldn't be concerned living anywhere in Essex, to be honest. Just a small town. Might get a little riff raff here and there....but thats about it.

The towns surrounding Windsor have the lowest crime rates in Canada. Amherstburg has had the lowest crime rate in the country for two straight years now. Nothing ever happens in these towns...ever. lol

Default california Ave/Norfolk Street, windsor

Hi, can anyone tell me what this area would be like to live, I have been looking at a few rentals in this area and I like its proximity to the bridge which would be great for work. Any thoughts???

Good neighbourhood. Can't rule out the occasional ass-hat coming thru the neighbourhood, but all in all, I wouldn't hesitate to live there.

In the Califonia/Norfolk area? The Crimereports map isn't showing anything recent within a couple kilometers of that intersection. Honestly, man, it's a quiet area. That's south Windsor. Well enough off families/retired folks.

I don't forsee any issues. My mom lives out that way. Obviously no place is immune to losers passing thru/bored teenagers, but it's a good, mature neighbourhood.

I will note though, that with the construction of the new parkway right there, you may be subjected to some dirt in the air, and construction sounds that close to the project. I really have no idea.

Small town living? I thought you are coming from Edmonton? lol

And no problem

I actually live a little south of Edmonton in a small town of about 10000.I used to live downtown but that life ain't for me. We are older now and are looking for something quiet and cheaper. We are tired of the rat race here and all we seem to do here is age. Never enough hours in the day.

I think the DRIC is going to be a game changer and I have to say that I hope it badly hurts Matty Moroun. That man is walking urban blight. What he did to the neighborhood just below the bridge is crime and he did the same thing to numerous buildings in Detroit as well.
