I agree that in most circumstances it would be none of the wests business to intervene in Syrias civil war but there are crimes against humanity that are so heinous that intervention is in order by the world community, this is one of those circumstances. Doing nothing may seem be the easy thing to to do for the moment but as said before proliferation of chemical weapons will only increase if there is no accountability to using them.

But what about the brutal crimes against humanity that the rebels are perpetrating? By taking out the Syrian government, we would essentially be condoning the equally reprehensible acts carried out the Muslim Brotherhood.

While wars are usually brutal with much death involved some forms of causing death are unacceptable, chemical warfare is one such. I doubt the powers that be give a rats butt about either side in this conflict its about the very real possibility of an increased proliferation of chemical weapons. Given the right chemical a chain reaction could occur that could wipe out humanity
