Although I understand that potholes (and everything transportation-related) are a politically sensitive topic in several cities, or provinces even, I often hear that some Canadian cities are horrible with respect to potholes.
  • Edmonton
  • Montreal
  • Winnipeg

As a Montreal-area native, I often hear about potholes being significantly worse in Montreal than in Ottawa, Plattsburgh or Burlington (and Minneapolis, too, since I am attending Minnesota for my PhD and will get a Minnesota driving license, if only because it makes rental of moving trucks that much easier and/or cheaper).

But is that actually the case?

Who actually have it worse for potholes?

Actually? Yukon and northern British Columbia. And Alaska. Really and truly.

Potholes, not too many in Vancouver...probably due to weather.

Did you even read the OP or did you automatically go knee-jerkingly into super duper Joe Canada mode?

I find it hard to imagine a place with worse potholes than Winnipeg.
