By the way, the ABET-accredited piece seems to be a US thing. Canadians have something a bit different, and there is collaboration. What is the equivalent of ABET in Canada?

Georgia Tech student here.

Maybe. I'm in CS, not ECE, but my 126 credit hour graduation requirement will definitely take four years (even though I came in with 22 hours of transfer credit). I don't think GT has any two-year programs, most of those are within the purview of community colleges and joint programs with other universities. The whole "certificate" vs. "degree" distinction is interesting, though.
