That GIF is funny, I love it.

Yes, congratulations to America, it's a huge milestone in America's history that is long over-due.

Been reading around on internet and seeing there's folks down there that are happy about it and others who are showing an extreme lack of grace, pulling the righteously outraged sore loser card. But before long the sore losers will catch up with all the other successful countries that approved same-sex marriage years ago and find that their hopeful projections of "I told you so" doom and gloom for America were just another bad fantasy.

Thanks, Northerners, the atmosphere is a little cleaner and the view a little brighter down here since the two great SCOTUS rulings.
In other news, it doesn't hurt to have a Prez who can rock an old time hymn!

Been a really long time coming but big congrats to our friends down south.. This has been a great week in the U.S... GO U.S.A.. Certainly the most influential nation to mandate gay marriage across the land so a landmark day for gay rights period.

This was a very close vote as well 5 in favour with 4 in dissent.. We must particularly thank Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy - a Reagan appointee back in the 80's Mr Kennedy has been a champion of Gay rights on the SCOTUS.

Finally! I congratulated all my American friends, straight and gay, and they are feeling that they can hold their heads a little higher today.

Some of the naysayers down there are astoundingly ignorant. The thing that struck me with most of these folks was that they were talking like equal marriage was totally new ground and that lightening bolts would fly out of the sky, without even bothering to look at other countries to see what a non-issue it really is.

Australia next?

Plus the southern kerfuffle about the rebel flag being taken down and how many now are finally distancing themselves from it.

It'll blow over eventually and (fingers crossed) without too much more bloodshed, but that's seemingly the nature of the beast.

Oh, and happy Canada Day, too, eh?
