I made a serious suggestion that we need a space program, to evacuate in case the whole earth is submerged or desiccated by drought.

Good point. Can't argue with it.

Are you saying that man made influence on climate change is bull or not?

Part of what I actually love about the U.S is its bold initiatives... You know to boldly go where no man has gone before type of thing. It may not always be practical but the truth is there is always going to be room for improvement when it comes to providing for any nations citizenry. I kinda think its an inspiring thing to go to places where we haven't before be it going to the Moon or Mars or learning about those unknown frontiers here on earth that Americans have really been at the forefront over the last century..

Anyway, if there is one thing I think Canadians could learn from Americans and that is to be bold and to have a vision and not be so damned humble and cautious!

So why should I believe you and not the majority and I mean the vast majority of the scientific community? Jbg - you are a Lawyer if I am correct... Why should I believe a Lawyer about matters of science when scientists are far more qualified to talk about science! It defies all credulity that the majority of the scientific community is making this up as some sort of conspiracy or ploy.. It makes no sense!

Can you explain why you think it's "bull"?

And, do you also believe, then, that any and all efforts toward conservation and environmentalism -- or even an awareness of its importance -- is "bull," too? Since you consider yourself a left wing Democrat, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

I'm sorry that I am not giving in to the panic mentality. Especially when scientists who take a different position are bullied.

I keep pointing out the obvious; that there have been other, warmer periods and colder periods that have come on suddenly and abruptly. And while we're at it no on e has supplied me with an example of a single First World city with continual records going back at least a century where there have been any consistent warming, aside from where reporting stations have moved. Or are not in the middle of an urban heat island?
