The American reaction to the Trudeau victory is quite funny. I especially laughed at the hashtag #PMILF (Prime Minister I'd Like to F@%!) which was trending in several US cities.
Not explicitly saying I agree with them, but I'd "shuffle his cabinet" NAWMSAYIN
Lots of people have sour grapes over these election results.
Running against arguably the most hated PM in Canadian history probably worked more to his advantage than his looks. When he started surging in election polls people changed to his party. If the NDP were ahead in polls instead, we'd probably have an NDP majority government right now. I switched my own voting intentions throughout the campaign.
If our OP is going to indulge in another gushy, oversimplified love-fest, it might help his credibility if he learned to spell Mr. Trudeau's name correctly.
I guess I must be the only straight woman in the world under 50 who thinks that he's just "meh" in the looks department. Nothing against him, he seems nice enough, just...meh.
Of course, he is much better looking than his father or any President in U.S. history, but that's not saying a whole lot.
I will hold my opinion(s) on how well he did/does after 2-3 years into office or after his term to see just how well he has done it is way to early to make any snap judgments to how well he has done since he has not done anything yet since he not been sworn in as PM till November 4th.
His platform is alright. It's not great, it's just "meh". But I guess "meh" is better than the last PM's platform. The bar is set really low.
I'd prefer Canadian politics go back to the status quo of "meh".
